FET Phase is challenging for any student. Grade 10 the student has to know themselves and in which direction hey want to go in. Grade 10s need to already know what career path they would like to take as the subjects they choose will determine the direction of there life. In grade 10 as a student one needs to choose 7 subjects in total. this is made up of 4 compulsory categories. A home language and a Additional language. Mathematics or mathematical Literacy. The last subject is life Orientation. The next three subjects as a minimum requirement is Physical Science, Life Sciences, Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Geography, Art, Engineering Graphics and Design, Computer Applications Technology, Information Technology and other  subjects offered at your chosen school.
